Integration of Non-ordinary States of Consciousness
For centuries humans have been exploring non-ordinary states of consciousness for healing and personal growth. Non-ordinary states of consciousness may be achieved through a variety of modalities such as music, dancing, meditation, and use of medicinal plants. While we do not serve as a guide in these transpersonal ventures, we work with clients to optimize integration through proper preparation for these experiences, as well as develops effective approaches after being in non-ordinary states to maximize the insights gained and applied to daily life. Integrative Psychiatry Treatment Approaches
Psychiatry isn't a monolith. Integrative psychiatry is a holistic form of treatment. In this discipline, clients are looked at as a whole instead of in parts. Integrative psychiatry can involve conventional methods, such as prescribing medications, but can also involve personalized and complementary support methods. Integrative psychiatry posits different situations where a person may benefit from a unique form of treatment.
