Medication management for mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, sleep disturbance, post traumatic stress disorder and other mental health disorders.  Initial consultations are 60 minutes and follow-ups are up to 30 minutes, extended beyond the typical 10-15 minutes of most psychiatric practices to allow sufficient time to establish strong rapport, and incorporate other therapeutic modalities.

  • Full evaluation includes ruling out medical disorders and providing (if appropriate) DSM diagnoses

  • Holistic approach

  • Performing patient assessments or a comprehensive review of prescriptions and their possible interaction or side effects

  • Formulating both short and long term medication treatment plans

  • Monitoring the safety and efficacy of any and all prescription medication plans

  • Ensuring directional or instruction-based compliance through patient education

Integration of Non-ordinary States of Consciousness

For centuries humans have been exploring non-ordinary states of consciousness for healing and personal growth.  Non-ordinary states of consciousness may be achieved through a variety of modalities such as music, dancing, meditation, and use of medicinal plants.  While we do not serve as a guide in these transpersonal ventures, we work with clients to optimize integration through proper preparation for these experiences, as well as develops effective approaches after being in non-ordinary states to maximize the insights gained and applied to daily life.  Integration sessions are 50 minutes in length.

Integrative Psychiatry Treatment Approaches

Psychiatry isn't a monolith. Integrative psychiatry is a holistic form of treatment. In this discipline, clients are looked at as a whole instead of in parts. Integrative psychiatry can involve conventional methods, such as prescribing medications, but can also involve personalized and complementary support methods. Integrative psychiatry posits different situations where a person may benefit from a unique form of treatment.

Treatments Used In Integrative Psychiatry

Integrative psychiatry may use different forms of treatment, including but not limited to the following:

  • Nutritional Counseling: A provider may work with some clients on a healthy eating and exercise regimen.

  • Lifestyle Counseling: Providers can teach clients meditation and breathing exercises.

  • Guided Imagery Work: Providers guide clients in guided imagery.

  • Bodywork. A provider may recommend massages and other alternative treatments.

  • Medication: Providers may prescribe and manage medication for mental health challenges.
